The inaugural installment of the Don’s Corner Weekly Read featured the classic book, The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. This week we stay in the mind of Robert Greene and present his sophomore book, The Art of Seduction.
Just like the 48 Laws of Power, a person can spend a lifetime studying the Art of Seduction, and still wouldn’t have it all figured out. The Art of Seduction uses historical accounts of some of the greatest seductions of all time to Illustrate its points. This book is part manual, part psychology course, in that it has a whole section dedicated to identifying the different types of seductors/seductresses. You will also identify what type of seductor you are. Most importantly, it has a section that identifies anti-seductive traits as well. This helps you to learn what it is about yourself that repulses people so you can correct it and be more seductive yourself.
The Art of Seduction is a book based on Seduction as a tool not just confined to relationships. Any interpersonal relationship involves a level of Seduction, whether subtle or overt. This book will raise your awareness as to the subtle plays that are taking place, and enable you to gain control over relationships. For that reason, this is necessary reading for dons. . .and this is OUR corner.
