On every college campus, there are several dope men/women, mostly students at that school. Ryan Patrick Jones, 22, is allegedly one of them for the University of Alabama where he is also a student. He was arrested by narcotics agents after a month-long investigation conducted by the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force who found him to be in possession of a massive amount of the highly demanded anxiety pill Xanax.

Agents arrested Jones at his home and taken into custody. In the collegiate trap house, police found more than 10,000 Xanax pills. Agents also found 141 grams of marijuana. It is estimated that the drugs seized have a street value of $75,000.

Jones was taken into custody at Tuscaloosa County Jail, where he is being held on $35,000 bail, according to AL.com.  He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana and selling drugs near a school. It is a little odd that he did not catch any intent to distribute charges or anything suggesting that he is a drug dealer.

The University of Alabama has placed Jones on interim suspension. USA TODAY reports:

According to the university’s drug-free campus and workplace policy, the school “will take disciplinary action against a student, group of students, or student organization for unauthorized use, possession, sale, or distribution of any controlled substance or illegal drug that occurs on university property or as part of any university activity.”

The University of Alabama is not new to having students being busted for selling drugs on a major scale. In 2014, 64 students were busted for moving various drugs during a West Alabama Task Force Roundup.
