It hasn’t been a good last couple of months for members of Dipset. Juelz Santana is facing serious charges after being caught with drugs and a gun at a Newark airport. Now, Jim Jones has found himself on the wrong end of the law. Dipset’s Capo now faces drug and gun charges after being arrested in Georgia, after a brief chase.
According to reports, Jones was riding in the back of a Mercedes SUV. The Benz was pulled over after the driver, Ana Rajnee Miles, allegedly drifted into the lefthand emergency lane several times. While pulled over, the Miles pulled off, leading police on a chase until the path was impeded by a Coweta County Sheriff’s Office investigator’s vehicle. Jones says that he told Miles to pull over, but she was “incoherent” and didn’t listen.
When the SUV was finally stopped, Jones and three other passengers were asked to get out. The cops performed a search and found oxycodone pills, weed, percocets, THC oil, a loaded pistol and a stolen handgun. Additionally the police found $148 cash and a passport.
The NY Daily News reports:
The Bronx-bred, Harlem-raised rapper admitted to smoking marijuana, but denied that the drugs found in the car were his, according to the Newnan Times-Herald. He also reportedly told cops that he knew nothing of the firearms, and had a prescription for the pills.
Jones was booked into the Coweta County Jail Thursday morning on charges of receiving stolen property, possession of firearm during the commission of a crime, narcotics possession, marijuana possession and dangerous drugs to be kept in original container.
Jones was later released on $7,000 bail.
