Recently, Meek Mill took the stage at the BET Awards to preview his new track, “Stay Woke” featuring Miguel. It was the first new music that fans have heard from the MMG emcee since he was released from prison a few months back, and there was anticipation as to when Meek would drop a new project. Now, that anticipation can be put to rest, after Meek dropped his latest EP, Legends of the Summer in the wee hours of this morning.
The four-track project features guest appearances from the legendary Swizz Beats, PnB Rock, Jeremih and the aforementioned Miguel. Behind the boards, Meek enlisted the production services of longtime collaborator Jahlil Beats, as well as Mike DZL & Prince Chrishan and others.
Given Meek’s press run after being released from the slammer, it may be expected that he would give te public four tracks of “woke” music, but that is not the case. Meek still managed to fit in a party song (“1am”) and a track for the ladies (“Dangerous”). Nevertheless, Meek provides some quality tunes that he’s known for making.
