Things just got a little real for veteran Dipset emcee Jim Jones. According to TMZ, Capo has been slapped with five felony charges pertaining to drugs and firearms stemming from his arrest in July after a car chase.
According to the report, Jones has been charged with 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He has also been charged with a misdemeanor count for possession of less than an ounce of cannabis.
If you’ll remember, on July 20, Jones was busted in Coweta County, GA when a car he was in led police on a chase. When police were able to pull the vehicle over and search it, they found weed, oxycodone, Percocet and vape cartridges, as well as two loaded guns. When Jones nor the three other people present in the car claimed ownership of the illegal items, they were all taken into custody.
Jones isn’t the only Dipset rapper that has found himself on the wrong end of the law. Back in August, Juelz Santana pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft. The counts stem from when Juelz was caught with a loaded .38 and unprescribed oxycodone pills at Newark Liberty International Airport in March. He was on the run for a second, but later turned himself in. According to reports, Santana is facing up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced on December 12.
Jones’ arraignment on his charges is scheduled for later this month. He is facing decades behind bars if convicted.
