Today is a big day for releases by Ruff Ryders alumni. Earlier, legendary LOX member Styles P dropped his tenth solo album, Dime Bag. Now, Swizz Beatz, the esteemed producer of many hip-hop classics, has dropped his latest album, POISON.
Like Styles’ album, Swizz’s LP is ten tracks in length. Within those ten tracks are bars from a pretty impressive collective of emcees. Featured on the project are Styles and Jadakiss, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, Jim Jones, French Montana, 2 Chainz, Aine Zion and Giggs. Swizz got some credited assistance on the boards from other producers including AraabMuzik, MusicMan Ty and Avery Chambliss. Singles released during the days leading up to the album were “Pistol On My Side” featuring Lil Wayne and “25 Soldiers” featuring Young Thug.
