The streets are preparing for the end of one of hip-hop’s most prolific eras. As it stands, trap legend Jeezy his prepping his alleged final album, Thug Motivation 104: Trust Ya Process. Much to the delight of fans, before Jeezy signs off for good, he has dropped new music which was released today. Jeezy joined Houston emcee and CEO of Authentik Music Group (AMG) Boston George on their new collab album Boston George & Diego.
An homage to the classic film Blow starring Johnny Depp as storied cocaine trafficker George “Boston George” Jung, the theme for this album is very appropriate for a trap-inspired project. It is clear who Boston George is in this scenario and Jeezy is taking on the persona of “Diego,”: the movie’s fictional character based on Colombian trafficker Carlos Lehder. The duo offers up nine tracks in total, handling most of the lyrical work aside from the final track, “Mad” which features bar work by Boo Rossini.
