It’s well known by now that Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson will not be indicted for the slaying of teenager Mike Brown. While it is the latest example of police being let off the hook this year, it was the decision America has been waiting for. In response to Wilson getting away with murder, protesters around the world have been demonstrating to show their disgust. The hotbed for action was the St. Louis area. Naturally, Brown’s parents were at the forefront of the drama. However, Mike Brown’s step father may be in hot water for his words to the crowd. He is quoted as telling protesters to “burn this bitch down” if necessary.
Louis Head, husband of Brown’s mother, Leslie McSpadden is the subject of a potential investigation by authorities for inciting a riot. This could be seen as a reach because people in and around Ferguson have been demonstrating since Brown’s killing in August. He was seen screaming various statements such as “burn this bitch down” to protesters right after the decision was made.
Investigating Head is part of a bigger investigation into the looting and arson that has occurred in Ferguson.
