It seems George Zimmerman would chill out after being acquitted for the killing of teenager Trayvon Martin in Florida. However, on several occasions, Zimmerman has popped back up in the news. As the New Year comes in, Zimmerman has found himself in trouble once again. He was arrested Friday for aggravated assault and domestic violence.
Zimmerman was arrested for allegedly throwing a wine bottle at his girlfriend in Lake Mary, near Orlando. On Saturday morning, Zimmerman posted a $5,000 bond which he was granted in court. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and not to travel to Volusia County where she lives. The judge also ordered that Zimmerman turn over any guns that he owns. He must do so although there is no mention of a gun being used during the incident.
Zimmerman’s attorney, Don West says that the woman was, indeed, Zimmerman’s girlfriend. However, he said that he did not want to “speculate” as to the events that led to Zimmerman throwing a wine bottle at her. West claims that Zimmerman simply “has not been lucky with the ladies.”
Zimmerman is scheduled to appear in court again on February 17th. West says that he will be pleading “not guilty” at his trial. West said, “Anyone who has been through what he has would have a rough time.” Will George Zimmerman’s luck run out? He seems to have nine lives when it comes to the courts. Maybe this time, he’ll be taught a lesson. Maybe, he’ll actually have to take a seat for a little bit for hurting other people.
