It is a wonderful feeling when you and your significant other have passion for each other and can’t keep your hands off each other. However, you may want to show some restraint while you’re out in public. A couple from Bradenton, Florida is facing quite a load after being found guilty of having sex on a public beach. Elissa Alvarez, 20, and Jose Caballero, 40, are facing 15 years behind bars for doing so.
Alvarez and Caballero were charged with lewd and lascivious exhibition for getting it on on Cortez Beach one fateful July evening. Witnesses videotaped and called 9-1-1 to complain about the couple having sex on the beach while their families were trying to enjoy a summer night out. Caballero claims that these witnesses were mistaken and he and Alvarez were not having sex that night.
Alvarez and Cabalerro face the maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. In addition, they could be fined up to $10,000 and be required to register as sex offenders. Alvarez’s record was clean before the charges for sex on the beach, but Caballero had served time in the past for trafficking cocaine. Alvarez’s father cried at the thought of his daughter going to prision.He said, “She’s a good girl – she’s never done anything like this.”
Caballero’s mother said, “There are worse things out there that we need to worry about and they are still loose people who have done worse stuff.”
Defense attorney Ronald Kurpiers is reportedly arguing for a probationary sentence. Nevertheless, think twice before getting bold out in the open with your partner and get somewhere private. The thrill isn’t worth prison time.
