Today is a special day for the Dons of the world. Today is the day that we celebrate being fathers. . . protectors and leaders. . . heads of our families and communities. So often, the role of a father is taken for granted, but when it really boils down to it, fathers are the maintainers of a civilization. So many times, as men, we don’t get the credit we deserve for handling our business. So many times, the contributions that we make often go overlooked because we are duty-bound and expected to play our positions.
However, sometimes the hardest thing to be in this world is a MAN. Equally as hard, is to be a father. So today, we’re going to take our time to salute all the fathers in the world. By the way, it is called Father’s Day – not “Daddy” Day. We recognize fathers as the creators of life, for it is a father’s seed that sets the cycle of life in motion. So regardless of if you are a part of your child’s life or not, you still should be recognized. For those men who aren’t a part of your child’s life, be encouraged that you can do, and be, better. It is NEVER too late. There is no greater joy than the joy of being a father. So today, fathers of the world, take your hats off. We salute you! Happy Father’s Day from the Don’s Corner!!!
