Yet another example of how broadcasting your crimes online can get you caught up in real life with the law. This time, we are taken to Springfield, MO, where a man posted himself committing a felony on Facebook three months ago. He has now been charged with that felony.

According to the Springfield News-Leader, 33-year-old Dustin W. Burns was placed on probation earlier this year after pleading guilty to violating a restraining order. As part of his probation, he was required to wear an ankle monitor.

However, Burns wasn’t feeling his predicament and wanted to free himself. He also decided that he wanted to broadcast his liberation to tens of thousands of people on the world’s largest social media site, Facebook. In the video which is close to four minutes, Burns can be seen using a butterknife and utility tool to take off his ankle monitor. He even goes so far as to advise viewers to not damage the monitor if they tried to do it because it could end up costing them handsomely in fines.

According to the New York Post, Burns has been locked up in Greene County jail since August 28, after several probation violations were filed against him. Last week, he was hit with a felony charge of tampering with electronic monitoring equipment.

Again, if you’re going to be doing dirt, it’s probably best that you don’t put it online. They’re watching. Watch Burns’ video below:
