Since legalizing marijuana for recreational use, Colorado and Washington are two states that are every stoner’s dream. There you are allowed to not only use marijuana freely, you can actually walk into a store to buy weed and walk out with your bud a receipt for the purchase. With the shift, it would behoove local businesses to adapt to the change. The change also means new businesses. One of the new businesses would be The Bud & Breakfast at The Adagio. a concept by The MaryJane Group. It is the “First 420-friendly lodge in Denver.”
A “bud & breakfast” is just like a bed & breakfast, except it features the sweet cheeba as a variable. The Adagio is a six suite Victorian home minutes from the bustling downtown Denver area. All guests are given access to The Adagio’s “bud bar” which boasts the “best marijuana and marijuana-infused edibles Colorado has to offer.”
From 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, guests partake in a “wake and bake” session (necessary for any weed smoker). Here, “eggs are cracked and bowls are packed” as patrons drink fresh orange juice, coffee or tea and eat eggs from “Range Raise” chickens, the “best banana bread you’ve ever tasted” and more fare prepared by an on-site gourmet chef. Various strains of weed are also available to be smoked. Of course, “420″ at a bud & breakfast would be a big deal. At 4:20 PM, The Adagio hosts a happy hour where guests can drink beer and wine while enjoying three different select strains to smoke. Then, at the end of the day, you can mellow out with some edibles, which “shortly after eating, you’ll notice a euphoric wave wash over you as you sink deeper into your bed, bidding the day goodbye.”
Rooms at the Adagio aren’t ridiculously priced either. Prices vary from the DeBussy Room at $299 to the Holst Room at $399. All of the rooms come with a few amenities including wireless Internet access, luxury bathrobes, cable and furniture. The Adagio also offers event planning services with party packages. If you were thinking of a different kind of getaway, and love weed, this bud & breakfast might be the place for you.
